Saint Gervais Market: Alpine Flavours and Local Life Every Thursday

The Saint Gervais Market is a true slice of mountain life, held every Thursday morning from 08:00 to 13:00 in the town centre around Promonade du Mont-Blanc Promenade (Avenue du Mont Paccard). Each week, local farmers, producers and artisans gather to share their best seasonal produce, handmade crafts and culinary specialities from across Haute-Savoie.

The market stalls overflow with mountain cheeses, cured meats, honey, jam, fresh bread, fruit, vegetables and flowers. You’ll also find local wines, handmade soaps and wool products, as well as clothing and gifts perfect for bringing home a little piece of the Alps.

The market is not only a great place to shop but also to experience the rhythm of local life. Residents meet for coffee as visitors wander through the stalls, taking in the aromas of roasted chicken, baked goods and alpine herbs. The friendly atmosphere and backdrop of the Mont Blanc range make this one of the most enjoyable markets in the region.

The market runs all year round, with the busiest months during the summer and winter seasons when the village is full of life. It’s the perfect stop before a day of hiking, skiing or simply enjoying the Saint Gervais thermal baths.
