Geneva to Les Menuires Transfer
Les Menuires is one of the most underrated ski resorts in the Three Valleys. Functional, snow-sure and well-served by a modern lift system, it’s the more affordable option for holidaying in France’s largest linked ski area.
What is Les Menuires like?
At 1850m, Les Menuires is a popular, purpose-built resort with excellent snow. And whilst it’s not ‘chocolate box pretty’, it is practical, easy to access and quite simply a great choice for a ski holiday for all the family.
Actually made up of several hamlets on several levels (namely Preyerand, Les Fontanettes, Les Bruyeres and the main commercial areas of La Croisette and Grand Reberty), each one is linked by elevators, lifts and shuttle buses, so you definitely don’t need a car in resort.
Most accommodation is in self-catering apartments, which suits skiers on a budget and families alike. There are plenty of supermarkets, bars and restaurants around too, so all tastes are catered for.
Great skiing & boarding in Les Menuires
Beginner skiers and boarders are in heaven in Les Menuires, with nursery slopes right next to the residences served by magic carpets and then long cruisey, confidence-building greens, such as Croisette and Bouquetins, reached by chairlifts.
Access to the rest of the Three Valleys ski area is super easy from Les Menuires. A quick hop over Mont de Challe or 3 Marches summits and you’re in Meribel. Take the Pointe de Masse cable to 2804m on the other side of resort and you’re directly in Val Thorens.
As snowboarders (yep, we’re on the dark side!), a fave slope day for us in Les Menuires would be:
- A few runs on the Masse side in the morning
- Scoot across resort to take the Sunny Express
- Have a play in the Pixel snowpark, using the Becca chair
- Round off the day with a long, cruisey run all the way down to St Martin de Belleville village
- Take the bubble and chair to get back to Les Menuires

Places to eat, drink & be seen in Menuires!
Although Les Menuires doesn’t have the party reputation of neighbouring Val Thorens, there is enough to keep you all happy. Prices in resort are high, but not as steep as others in the Three Valleys. If you’re looking for meals out at a decent prices, regular Menuires skiers recommend the likes of :
- La Dolce Pizza – great for takeaway, inside Galerie Chaviere
- Jacks – classic burger, pizza place at Croisette
- Le Comptoir – big terrace apres-ski with DJ
- Le Capricorne – the one for fondue lovers
- Au Village – Savoyard food opposite the sports centre
- Peuf Daddy – the best-named mountain restaurant ever – and good food too!
Les Menuires Transfers
Les Menuires is the middle resort in the Vallee des Belleville, above St Martin-de-Belleville and before Val Thorens on the road up the valley. Mountain Drop-offs provides private and VIP transfers from Geneva Airport in around three hours to where you’re staying in Les Menuires.
