Freeride Day 2026 at Les Grands Montets

The legendary Chamonix season finale: sunshine, slush and serious fun at Les Grands Montets

If you’re planning a spring ski trip to Chamonix, don’t miss Freeride Day at Les Grands Montets, the official season finale that marks the end of winter in true mountain style. Held above the charming village of Argentière, this event is all about celebrating one last day on the snow with a mix of skiing, music, laughter and fancy-dress mayhem.

The Freeride Day tradition sees locals and visitors come together for a day of sunshine, slushy pistes and non-stop fun. The main attraction? The famous waterslide challenge where brave skiers and snowboarders try to glide across an icy pool without falling in! Add in a zip-line, speed runs, parets sled races, DJ sets and costume contests, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for an unforgettable mountain party.

Taking place on the 3rd May 2026, Freeride Day offers the ultimate chance to soak up the spring sunshine and say goodbye to another amazing winter season in Chamonix. Whether you’re taking part or simply watching from the sidelines, it’s an experience that captures the fun, friendly spirit of life in the Alps.
